This duty applies to each person insured under the policy
What if I fail in this duty?
If you fail in this duty, the insurer may
- reduce the amount they pay for the claim, or
- refuse to pay your claim and cancel your policy
Information you do NOT need to give
You do not have to tell the insurer anything:
- they know or should know or is common knowledge
When does this duty apply?
The duty applies: - before you enter into an insurance policy
- every time you renew or change a policy
